This catalogue is the first comprehensive study of medieval stained glass in South Yorkshire. Not only does it describe and illustrate the surviving glass, but it also gives detailed information on the subjects portrayed, the inscriptions, donors and heraldry. Glass was imported into the area from other sources - including an important collection from New College, Oxford, Tudor Renaissance glass, and some German glass.
