Dr Erle Lim obtained his Master's degree in Medicine (Internal Medicine) in 1997 and has been mentoring candidates through the MRCP, M Med (Int Med) and MBBS, ever since. He was accredited in neurology in 2000 and now sits on the specialist training committee for neurology in Singapore. He completed his fellowship in movement disorders at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, and is now a tenured associate professor of medicine at the National University of Singapore, where he also serves as an assistant dean of education (clinical, admissions and student affairs). He was awarded the faculty Teaching Excellence Award in 2005/6 and 2006/7, the university's annual Teaching Excellence Award in 2006/7 and the Outstanding Educator Award in 2008. He is also currently a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (UK).
